Dandy Dog Training
At DDT we believe strongly in using positive reinforcement techniques and methods for all our training.
The goal is for you to develop a strong, positive and enduring relationship with your dog. We have found that using positive reinforcement techniques allows training to be fun for both dog and handler alike.
Through the use of logical skill progression and a positive approach, you and your dog will have successful training experiences, which will be the foundation for future success.
Additionally, you will bond to your dog in a new way and be friends, in or out of the ring, forever.
Philosophy of DDT
Classes
Group classes consist from 3 to 8 dog and handler teams. (Due to the Covid virus, class size is half of our normal size.) Classes are offered from Beginner Basic through Competition Obedience, Agility, Dog Scent, Rally, Trick and Parkore. Three basic classes are offered; Beginner Basics, Intermediate Basics and Advance Basics. Once the basics are mastered, the dog could pass AKC's CGC test, (the main focus the of Advance Basic class), the team is permitted to take a Level 3 class. Level 3 classes are aimed toward special areas; Competition Obedience, Agility, Dog Scent, Rally, Tricks...
Private Lessons
Private lessons are offered to cover basic training to special needs. First meeting, which takes about an hour, will be for an evaluation, training and making a future plan. The first lesson cost $50. Follow up lessons, which usually are scheduled for 1/2 hour, cost $30. If interested in scheduling a private lesson, please contact Joan Dandy.
